Recipes: What about metric measurements?
|
We will be releasing metric measurements in a future release. However, in the meantime:
If you truly desire to master mixology, quantities measured in English
or metric become less relevant through the "free pour" technique.
Using standard bartending grade speed pourers, 1/4oz becomes a "one count",
and a full ounce becomes a "four count". With practice on your counts,
you will almost never pick up a measuring shot glass again, unless the recipe is served in it.

Locations: Why does 'Find It' only work while the network is available?
|
|
The amount of data storage required to store retail locations is enormous. In a future version,
we will introduce synchronizing retail locations onto your phone on a metropolitan area basis.

|
Locations: Why does 'Find It' not show me a map of a location?
|
We will integrate with Apple's map application as it becomes available. We do believe
dumping you into a major search provider's mapping website via the web browser is just plain
wrong. You loose your application, and the search provider's data is often unqualified and unreliable.
Ever found a 'restaurant' in a residential area, and find out it is someone selling paper cups
part-time out of his/her garage?

Locations: Where is the cocktail lounge down the street?
|
|
iTinis retail locations are intended to be an accurate and verified reporting of the iTinis
community as a whole. We believed purchasing less than reverified mass data was not in the
our community's best interest. So go ahead and add the location!

Recipes: Where are all the pictures?
|
We decided early into development that sustaining a comprehensive image database with an organically
growing database on a mobile platform was not practical. Further, serving styles vary greatly in the
real world. Please research at home on your personal computer with a big internet pipe.
Besides, we wouldn't want to set your expectations that your margarita will be served in a beautifully
festooned cactus plant, where there is a chance it might be served in a bucket glass.
